Liza Snyder

Snyder is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts. The mother of her, who is a songwriter and singer, is her father. He's also a theatre professor of theatre at Smith College. Johnny Green was a five-time Academy Award winning composer and Betty Furness, an actress and an editor for a consumer magazine, were their maternal grandparents. Snyder earned her degree from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, where she received instruction from Sanford Meisner. Her career started with the first episodes of dramas for television, like The Trials of Rosie O'Neill as well as Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she landed the role as Molly Whelan on the ABC-syndicated crime drama Sirens. In the wake of Sirens's demise and her subsequent appearance in two films on TV as well as guest-starring on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue. Between 1998 and in 2000, she appeared as a regular actor on the NBC sitcom Jesse that starred Christina Applegate. In the sitcom Pay It Forward directed by Mimi Leder, she played in a small role. The same year, Snyder began to star in Christine Hughes in CBS's sitcom Yes, Dear. The show ended in the year 2006. Snyder took a break of five years after Yes, Dear. She returned to TV in 2011 and was a guest on a part in an episode of House as an uninvolved patient in need of to donate her lung.
